Motivation is a skill; not a talent.
A phrase I hear all the time, “I desperately want to feel better, but I just don’t have the motivation you do. . ."
What does that even mean? Like there’s this little fairy out there sprinkling a lucky chosen few with magic-fitness-motivation-fairy dust?
That doesn’t exist FYI, and I know you know that.
Motivation is something I have learned to create for myself. It’s a skill I’ve learned to develop. It’s one of those things anyone can learn — just like we learn to brush our teeth, ride a bike, etc.
Motivation is not a talent that only a chosen few have been blessed with. If that’s what you believe, you’re choosing to believe that you just weren’t cut out to be a motivated person.
Let me ask you this:
Would you be motivated if I told you that you could add 10 years to your life if you started prioritizing your health and well-being now?
Not tomorrow.
Not after the holidays.
Not in the new year.
NOW.
That’s 10 more years with your sweet fam & friends. 10 years is a lot of life! I imagine myself as the oldest one, still out there, inspiring and encouraging women when I’m 99, because I plan to be around then — rocking life, feeling radiant and vibrant. Will you be there with me?
It’s a choice. You choose your reality. Just stop believing the silly notion that you’re not cut out to have motivation. Poof! That’s the magic I choose everyday.
You can have the same motivation I do. You just have to go out there and make it happen.
It’s time to level up. It’s time to do you.
